Dear Colleague,

Between 30 January, 1970 and 13 December 1975, a series of 87 2-pulse
experiments were carried out with the Millstone Hill Incoherent Scatter
Radar. These measurements of E- and F-region electron density,
temperature and collision frequency are described in W. L. Oliver, J.
E. Salah, R. H. Wand and J. V. Evans, Technical Report 531, Lincoln
Laboratory, MIT (23 February, 1979), which is available on-line in PDF
format. Bill Oliver has maintained this data set over the years and
with his help Shunrong Zhang and Larisa Goncharenko have converted the
data to Madrigal format. They are now available through the Madrigal
Database (http://www.openmadrigal.org/).

Early Millstone Hill single-pulse data, collected between 1962 and
1974, are also available from the Database in the form of contour
plots. With the addition of these early measurements, all production
Millstone Hill incoherent scatter radar data are now on-line, either as
Madrigal files or contour plots. We plan to convert the contour plots
to digital form in the near future.

John Holt
