Michael Titus

Michael Titus is a Research Technical Staff member at MIT Haystack Observatory. He completed a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education at the University of Hartford’s Hartt School of Music in 1985. Since then, he has been at MIT Haystack Observatory for more than 35 years. His primary role is the correlation of VLBI data, which computationally synthesizes radio signals from each telescope into data from a virtual Earth-size telescope. He performs VLBI correlation for various astronomy and geodesy projects, including the Event Horizon Telescope (EHT) and the VLBI Global Observing System (VGOS).​
