The prestigious Robert H. Goddard Award for Engineering Teams is awarded to the SGP engineering team.
NASA’s Space Geodesy Project (SGP) has won the prestigious Robert H. Goddard Award for Engineering Teams for the exceptional implementation of the next-generation NASA Very Long Baseline Interferometry domestic network, including the Haystack Geodesy Engineering team. SGP Project Manager and scientist Stephen Merkowitz sent congratulations to all involved in successfully deploying NASA VGOS stations to Maryland, Hawaii, and Texas locations. The award ceremony for the 2020 awards will be held online.
