I’m originally from Lima, Peru. I studied physics in Peru and worked at the Jicamarca Radio Observatory, where I became interested in space physics. This interest led me to pursue a Ph.D. and a postdoc at Cornell University. At Cornell, I worked on modeling and measuring plasma irregularities in the ionosphere. Now, I’m a research scientist at MIT Haystack Observatory, where I continue exploring Earth’s plasma environment dynamics. Over the years, I’ve worked on projects that involve plasma theory and numerical simulations, inverse methods for remote sensing of the ionosphere, and machine learning applications to space physics.
